7 months old!
I am seven months old! And here is my latest achievement:
I sit up by myself! Here I am sitting on my foam mat covered with my brand new quilt--my great grandmother Memaw Parker made this for me! I have to have a lot of cushion because mom does not quite trust that I won't fall backwards. I have found my voice and have started saying "Dadadadadada!" Mom keeps telling herself that I am not saying this to anyone in particular so it does not count as an actual word! I love eating sweet potatoes (they are my favorite), green peas and fruit. I am not crawling yet but I do rock a little when I am on my tummy. I mostly sleep through the night--with a brief fussing session around 4am. I still love bath time and LOVE going to the pool.

First Annual July 4th Barton Creek Trip!
We had a blast this past weekend--we headed out with some of our favorite friends, the Cloonan Family, to Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas! The weather could not have been more perfect--it was actually pleasant the entire weekend!
We decided to start the weekend by stopping on our way at Smitty's. Smitty's bar-b-que was featured on the television show "Diners, Drive-in's, & Dive's." We have to agree--they have some of the best meat in the state.
We were a little nervous about the weather because it rained the entire way to Austin. I just figured I would spend my weekend hanging out with my favorite people...
Luckily, we were able to spend a lot of time at the pool. Jason made fun of me because Davis had to have a swimsuit for every day of the trip--Davis appreciated how cute he looked the whole trip! It really helped him pick up some ladies at the pool...

I promise we do not abuse our child...here is Davis making a face after tasting his first lime. He actually like lemons, limes not so much!
We attended a lobster buffet on Saturday night. Davis really enjoyed playing with our food.

After a long day of playing at the pool and checking out the lobster Davis crashed waiting for the fireworks...
Dad and Davis holding our spot...
The whole clan! Davis had such a fun time playing with his sweet friend, Caroline...
Davis planned it just right--he woke up just in time for the amazing fireworks show! I felt like one blessed mommy--my baby laid on my stomach and was ENAMORED with the fireworks. I am happy someone in the family will share my love of fireworks!

Carrie and Caroline....
I am so close to sitting up!
Jason and Shawn got to play golf every morning much to their delight (it was questionable if they would even get to play one round with the yucky weather). Davis and I ventured out with Caroline and Carrie to catch the guys on 18. I can picture the PGA showing this picture someday when Davis wins...
Proud dads with their kiddos....
We had a great time! We have decided (and hopefully the Cloonan family agrees) that this will be a July 4th tradition! Thank you Cloonan fam for a fabulous fourth!

Fun Weekend
We had such a fun weekend--Saturday we celebrated Lauren's birthday. Welcome to my newest hobby (I start a cake decorating class next week):
I got to hang out with Papa who came into town to visit me...

The family singing Happy Birthday!
And the chef taking a break after fixing a ton of her famous fried chicken! Thanks Memaw!
Sunday we headed over to visit the other Papa for his birthday! Mom would not let me share Memaw's famous fried chicken--but told me how it is still her favorite!
I got to hang out with Grandad and Gil....
And sing Papa K Happy Birthday....

6 Months Old!
I am six months old! I now roll all over the place--if mom or dad leaves me on one side of the room I will roll to the other side before they know it! I am very close to being able to sit up on my own. I still love it when mom or dad sings to me and I have found my voice!

For Father's Day I helped dad watch golf....
As you can tell, I am a happy baby...
Mom has taught me that if I want to hang out with dad I have to love sports. She took me to Target and bought me my first soccer shirt. We decided I would cheer for Italy because they had the cutest shirt....
I still love bath time. My new favorite trick is crying when you start to pull me out of the water.

Unfortunately, I have had so many ear infections that I had to get tubes. Hopefully, this will stop the constant ear aches I have been fighting. Overall, I have had a wonderful month!

5 years
HAPPY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO MY AMAZING HUSBAND! Today marks five years since I walked down the aisle and said "I do!" to my best friend, my soul mate and the love of my life. Never could I have imagined how my life would change when I met Jason Knecht ten years ago! The past five years have been amazing--GOD has really stepped in and worked in our marriage and I cannot believe how different we are today then we were five years ago.

Supervised visit with Uncle Chris!
For Memorial Day Weekend we headed to Ohio to visit fun Uncle Chris. Uncle Chris is so fun that mom says the only way I am allowed to hang out with him is if she is around (just kidding--sort of)! I got to stay at Uncle Chris' new bachelor pad--he showed me all the cool things bachelors do....
We went to see the Astros loose to the Reds...

I checked out a brewery near downtown....
I hung out with Uncle Derek and Aunt Lacey....
I helped mom and dad check off another stadium on their list...
I dressed like a stud to pick up some ladies....
I enjoyed the sites and people watching at Taste of Cincinnati...

I napped after a hard day....
And I watched with envy as all the guys of the family left me to go to the Indy 500. Maybe next time I will be big enough to watch the race in person...
Thanks Uncle Chris for showing me around. Maybe someday my mom will let me visit alone :)
