Hanging with the boys....

I spent Saturday hanging out with all the guys at a fantasy football draft. Here I am with dad and Uncle D. I had so much fun and am pretty sure that I drafted the best team!

Music Class

Sweet monster and I are in music class together. We started this past Saturday. He LOVED the bubbles and the rubber ball...
We played with drums, tambourines and shakers...

After music we headed to Aunt Lu and Uncle David's spool to hang out with Aunt B and Aunt C. DPK got his first bites of ice cream and LOVED them. At one point he pulled the ice cream cone in my hand closer to him so he could have another bite--he is so my son!

Davis Crawls!

Working mom guilt had instilled a fear in me that I would not see some of Davis' firsts. I was terrified that I would not see him crawl for the first time. Friday, I was headed out the door to bunco when Jason began yelling and me to watch Davis--I ran to the living room in time to watch my love bug crawl for the first time. I grabbed the camera and filmed as he crawled after his pacifier! What a blessing! Thank you God for letting me get to experience this moment!

Florida Weekend

Two weeks ago Jason's parents were amazing and watched Davis for the weekend. This allowed Jason and I to head to Florida to watch Mitzi get married. I could not make a trip to Florida and not head to you know where....Jason and I at Hollywood Studios. We rode nearly every ride in the park! Rock N Roller coaster was by far our favorite. I screamed so loud during the ride I embarrassed Jason. We also rode Tower of Terror which was being built the last time I was at Disney. After our day at the park we headed over to the Rehearsal dinner and met up with some of my favorite people....

8 Months Old!

Happy 8 months to my baby! I cannot believe how time flies when you're having fun. This month Davis has gotten exceptionally good at sitting up on his own. My parents came in town this weekend to celebrate Uncle Bub's getting his master's degree. Grammy and I took Davis out shopping and he experienced his first shopping cart ride:
I just know that he is days away from crawling--he came really close tonight. He starts to think that crawling might be a good idea but then decides rolling is a lot easier. He is still mommy's cuddle bug. The other morning I went to hold him while Jason fixed his bottle. While I was rocking him waiting for Jason he fell back asleep on me. It made it extremely difficult to go to work. He has also graduated to the next classroom. His teachers are all so impressed with how he is developing and so are his mom and dad.

Trying to beat the heat....

It has been so hot lately! Davis has found a great way to beat the heat:

We took him for his six months shots last week ( a little late) and Dr. Lange informed us that he is "behaviorally advanced!" Davis weighed 18 pounds and was 26 inches long. Dr. Lange was impressed with how coordinated Davis is--he can sit up by himself and shake a toy without falling over. Apparently, this is a valuable skill. Speaking of sitting up holding a toy...
Last Saturday we took Davis to meet our friend Ms. Holiman. Ms. Holiman is one of the ladies from St. Luke's that I have the honor of calling and checking on--she was so excited to meet little Davis. She turns 91 tomorrow so Davis took her a balloon and cupcakes which she appreciated! Davis was the hit of the retirement home. One lady came up to him and kept calling him "abogado." She told me that she could tell that he was going to be a lawyer! I thought that was hilarious because she has no idea that Davis will be a fourth generation lawyer.

Davis is spending this weekend with Nana and Papa while we head to Aunt Mitzi's wedding. We will be investigating Disney World to make sure it is a place Davis would enjoy :)
