Davis started Pre-K this week and is LOVING it! I was so excited when I got the call last week from his teacher and learned that several of his friends from the neighborhood and soccer would be in his class.
The day before school started several of the Pre-K moms got together and hosted a welcome to school party. It was a good way to meet more of the kiddos and their parents.
Class of 2028:
Davis woke up bright and early Monday morning. He came and crawled into bed with us and talked non stop! He went on and on about how today he was starting pre-k. Jason asked him if he would crawl in bed with us on the first day of school every year and Davis agreed he would :)
We dropped Carter off first and Davis told me to "run" because he was ready to get to his school. We had to go to the cafeteria to wait for the bell to ring. When it was time to walk to the classroom he grabbed my hand and we started walking. I really wonder if that will be the last time he will hold my hand in front of his friends! He walked into the classroom with no hesitation.
Enough pictures mom....
Finding his name tag:
Davis gave us kisses and hugged us bye. I snuck back in and found him sitting in his spot on the mat ready to go!
Jason and I talked throughout the day and we both agreed that 5 o'clock was taking FOREVER to arrive. We could not wait to pick him up and hear about his day. When I picked him up he came running to me and was so excited about his day. He told me about saying the pledge, playing on the playground and a new friend named Joe.
I thought I would be more emotional than I was but I think it was much easier when I saw just how happy and excited he was. It reminded me how much God has blessed me with the most wonderful little boy. I am so proud of him and so proud to be his mom.

For some reason, this post just made me cry. So sweet. Also, such a cute video of Carter being a ham in the bath.
