Trick or Treat!

Davis decided to spend his first Halloween trick or treating at all the grandparents. So, we started by heading over to visit Grandad and Gil. Here is the little monster in the car:
This was the first stop on the trip. Grandad and Gil got a big kick when they opened their front door to this little monster:

We then headed to Aunt Lu and Uncle David's. This trick or treating thing can really take it out of a monster:
We then headed to Nana and Papa's:

Memaw Parker was there to greet Davis:
So was grandpa Larry:
Memaw Knecht and Uncle D were also there but somehow I missed a picture with them. Davis changed into his monster pjs at the end of the evening:
We had such a great time. Our little monster fell asleep on the way home:
It's tough being such a cute monster! Happy Halloween!

Weekend Fun

We have had such a great weekend. Here I am with mom's pumpkin display. I am so handsome....

I got to hang out with my friend Marleigh Saturday night at my first Halloween Costume Party. Marleigh and I go way back, we used to walk at Memorial Park together when our mommies were on maternity leave together...
Stay tuned for my trick or treating pictures

Compass Halloween Party

I have a problem. I admit it-- I love holidays. I love everything about them--decorating, spending time with family, getting time off from work--really, what's not to like?! I convinced Jason to let me throw a Halloween party for our wonderful Sunday School Class. If you watch Modern Family then you can appreciate how I wanted to decorate but Jason has his limits and vetoed the fog machine, coffin and scary sounds from the front porch. However, I think it was still a huge success. Here is the wreath I made:My front porch:

Monday night Halloween goes down and Thanksgiving goes up! This is seriously the best time of year!

Happy Halloween Eve

Thank you Grammy for my monster shirt!

Monster Invades St. Luke's Pumpkin Patch

DON'T BE SCARED--It's me, Davis Monster!
Mom has been begging Dad for about a month to let her take me to the pumpkin patch. Sunday after church she got her wish and I am so glad she did!

NEBRASKA!

Two weekends ago Jason and I took a weekend trip to the exciting state of Nebraska. Jason's agency won a contest and so we got a free weekend away. We went to cheer on the Longhorns and it worked. Grammy was nice enough to come in for the weekend to take care of this little fan...
Nebraska has a neat tradition--the first time they score a point they release red balloons:
If I could figure out how to turn this picture I would...
We had a wonderful weekend. The Nebraska fans could not have been nicer--we tailgated with them before the game and they introduced Jason to "elk water." After the game we enjoyed a great dinner at Misty's where I got to eat dinner with a television star. Okay, maybe star might be a little overstated--Ethan, the dad from Quints by Suprise, ate dinner with Jason and I. We shared a table with a bunch of people to save on wait time. I was starstruck and Jason made fun of me the whole time. I did ask him how on Earth he left his wife at home with all of their kiddos--and I made him promise that she was going to get a weekend away soon!

10 Months Old!

Yesterday my love bug turned 10 months old! You can see that he is a tall baby and starting to look more like a little boy than a baby! I have no idea what his official stats are but he is getting heavy to carry around. He is still army crawling--I don't think he will ever crawl up on his knees--and he pulls up on EVERYTHING. He still loves to be held and would be perfectly content if we would carry him everywhere. We have discovered an area of Memorial Park with swings that are perfect for Davis, he loves to be outside.
Happy 10 months Davis monster!
