My sweet five year old started kindergarden last month. So far he is LOVING IT. We went to the back to school fair to pick up Davis' supplies and to meet his teacher. Mrs. Sullivan is really sweet and Davis was excited that he is in her class.
Their class has "assignments" that they keep for one week at a time. I know last week Davis was the electricity monitor.
A huge group of the kindergarden class got together a few days before school started to celebrate. We had a big party at Pump It Up. I think this will be the last year with a coed party. I think the boys were a little crazy and rowdy for the girls. Here is Davis with one of his best buds, Davin:
And here is Davis on the first official day. He was so excited. He told me that he woke up at 5:30 and watched the clock, when it said 5:59 he got so excited because he knew he was almost allowed out of his bed.
Davis had to have an under armour backpack just like Jordan Spieth:
Davis' new friend Gage joined us and walked the bridge to school
When Davis arrived he quickly found his group of best buds. These four got into a lot of trouble together last year in pre-k and were all too happy to be reunited.
Some kids were crying when they announced it was time to go to class. Not Davis. He just yelled "bye mommy!" and ran off like it was no big deal.
I informed him that I was STILL going to walk with him to class on the first day. We found his spot and he settled right in.
Here is Davis on day two, just as excited to go to school:
We are looking forward to a great year!
