Six Months!

Look at the cutie who is six months old!

"Hi Mom!"

                                                        "My sheep!"

Carter is doing amazing. She is such a sweet baby. She traveled so well to Disney and back. She continues to be a very chill baby that is happy if you are holding and cuddling with her. She loves to be held, rocked and sung to. The best part of my day are mornings. I love to walk into her room singing and watch her react. She immediately starts kicking, punching and smiling. She LOVES big brother. He cracks her up! When she hears his voice enter a room she begins to look around for him immediately.
She is momma's girl :) She loves to sleep on my chest and snuggle up under my chin. She stopped sleeping through the night (on occasion she makes it). So we spend a lot of time in the middle of the night together in her rocking chair. It does not bother me as much with her because I know she is my last and the time will come way to quickly where I will long for our middle of the night nursing sessions. I can usually hear her crying for me in the middle of the night. However, if I don't respond quickly enough to her she begins to kick (HARD) the side of her crib. I don't know how she learned to do this but you can hear it all over the house!
She is a good eater and has started eating sweet potatoes, bananas, avocados and apricots (which we discovered she is allergic to). Jason calls her my granola baby because I refuse to let him give her formula and will only feed her homemade, organic baby food and breast milk.
She loves the pool but has only been able to enjoy it a handful of times. We bought her her own float and she has a good time kicking her legs while lounging back.
She is totally content not sitting up on her own. She can roll back to front and front to back but prefers to just stay on her back. Within the last few days I have started to let her sleep outside of her sleep sack and on her tummy.
Her teachers at school say she has a sweet disposition and is always a pleasure to be around. We could not agree more!

  1. I already have that same feeling about being up in the night with Grace. It's such a sweet time because it's the last and we now know they don't last like this forever.
