The above picture is us last year on mother's day--we were about six weeks along...below is this mother's day....my how a year changes things:

Jason asked me what I wanted to do for my first mother's day--easy! I wanted to spend time with my boys and try Davis on his first bites of rice cereal. He did okay--I think more of the cereal ended up on his shirt than in his mouth. He could not understand the whole spoon concept--he would rather have a bottle, less work!

We enjoyed a going away party for some friends from Sunday School on Saturday night. Davis had a blast hanging out...

For gifts for our moms Davis had the idea to make them artwork, he is so smart. We pulled out the paint and....

"Field of Feet by Davis Parker Knecht"

On Sunday Jason and Davis cooked me breakfast. As you can see Davis was a huge help...

This past month Davis has learned some new tricks! He now rolls over! We knew he was close--then a couple of Sundays ago I set him down on his blanket and walked away. When I walked back he was on his tummy! Jason and I screamed so loud that I really am in shock that he continues to do it! It has become his favorite trick, he now rolls over ALL THE TIME! He loves to sleep on his tummy and typically we will lay him in his crib and can't make it out the door before he has rolled to sleep on his tummy.

He loves his hands and his pacifier (especially the gator one--thanks Aunt Mitzi)...

And we had a great time hanging out with our best buds! Davis and Reed are 3 months apart. We love spending time with the Allison's, I still cannot believe that my best friend from high school has THREE kids :) She is such a great mommy...

At the end of my mother's day weekend I really was exhausted! But I realized that I am the most blessed mommy on the planet! How could I not feel that way when I come home to this everyday:
He is so precious! The Field of Feet was such a cute idea for Mother's Day gifts!! You are so creative!
