Spring is here!

What does spring bring? Crawfish boils:Last year Davis took a picture with a crawfish, so continuing with tradition....
Davis surrounded by the ladies:
Davis and his Uncle D:
Davis got to hang out with his oldest friend, Marleigh. He has known Marleigh forever--they even tried a murder case together (well, while they were in their mommies tummies)...
Davis loves his friends. He loves his friend, Ellen--you can see why. What a pretty girl....
Grammy and Davis:
Dad and Davis....the two loves of my life!
It's not colored plastic so I bought it:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Davis enjoyed St. Patrick's Day this year! Here he is in his green ready for school:

Mom got up at the crack of dawn to make Davis a special St. Patrick's Day treat:

Oh yeah! Green pancakes! Davis LOVED them:

The smile on his face when he picked up his first pancake made the early morning worth it! I am loving all the fun family traditions we are starting!

15 Months

My sweet Davis Monster turned 15 months old today! He is a huge joy to Jason and I--we had no idea we could love anyone so much! He is really picking up the walking thing (ha-finally) and came home from school today with a shiner he got when he fell walking (reminds me of his mom). Davis loves to say "da-da" and "uh-oh" and takes a long pause to try and really think through words he wants to repeat. He still loves pacifiers, bath time and pulling all the books of his shelf. He has attached himself to his Peter Rabbit book and it now goes EVERYWHERE with him (including in his sweet little hand as he sleeps in his crib tonight). The pages are sticking together from who knows what!
He is still a cuddler that will raise his arms when you walk by to pick him up. Yesterday we dropped him off at the church nursery. We were walking from the big church to Sunday School and noticed him out on a buggy ride with his class. We hid behind the buggy so he would not see us--as another adult walked by Davis lifted his arms in the air saying "pick me up!" Jason and I got a laugh when we heard the teacher say "Davis, you just want everyone to hold you don't you?!" This is so true.
Happy 15 months Love Bug!

Sunday Funday!

We have had a great weekend at our house-topped off by a Sunday trip to the zoo. Nana and Papa joined the fun. Jason and I decided that we would become zoo members--this is what Davis thinks of that:
Davis was worn out at the end of the day:
Because he was fascinated by the animals

A trip on the carousel
And some ice cream:

What a great day!

Finally!

Look who finally has a couple of teeth (and a third on the way):

This has been a typical conversation at work:

Random criminal defense attorney: "So, how old is your son now?"
me: "14 months"
Random criminal defense attorney: "Oh, so he is walking!"
me: "um...no!"

Until last Sunday! Jason was so terrified that he would walk for his teachers before he would walk for me (adding to my working mom guilt). I was hanging out with my wonderful in-laws and Davis took two steps for me! Jason was so relieved that he walked for me first! Here are some videos of Davis walking this weekend (ignore my annoying yelling)....

Sorry for the three separate posts! But had to share....
