Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa wanted ChuckECheese for his birthday so we dragged Davis along. Davis LOVED the "mouse" and wanted to follow the mouse all around the place. He loved it when the mouse sang and played the piano. He also loved going down the slide--he might have had a slight mishap when he got lost in the maze of tunnels but a very nice little girl helped him find his way.

Last Sunday we played in the club's family golf tournament. We had a great time and Davis loved using his new clubs.

Happy Father's Day to my husband. There is a reason your little man wants to be just like you:

Jason you are an incredible father. I am amazed at your patience and loving attitude towards our son. I love watching the two of you together and I feel so blessed that you are the father of my son.

Happy Anniversary!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary by taking a little weekend trip as a family. It was AMAZING! We had the best.time.ever. Seriously. Anyway, we headed to San Antonio for the weekend and stayed at the J.W. Marriott. We have been talking about this trip to Davis for several weeks now. On Friday morning he woke up and said "Daddy, I go on trip, I excited!" Me too Monster! We headed out and arrived with a very excited little boy. He ran straight to the window and began demanding to go swimming! He literally ran down the hall to get to our hotel room to put his suit on.

 They had a great kids pool with three slides that were perfect for Davis. They also had a lazy river and a big pool. Davis loved going from pool area to area. Friday night they had a movie in the pool and s'mores. Mommy and Davis roasting marshmallows:

 The best gift of the trip was Davis sleeping until 6:45 am on Saturday. It was so appreciated! We told him leaving the pool Friday that he could swim ALL DAY Saturday. Literally the first words out of his mouth Saturday morning "I swim ALL DAY!"

 Saturday night my parents swung by the resort and picked up monster. We were able to have a nice dinner just the two of us. Sunday morning my parents brought Davis back to us--and by this point he was pretty worn out. He did not last long before this happened poolside:

 Growing up both Jason and I have millions of amazing memories vacationing with our families.  Aside from teaching me the importance of God in my life, the second most important thing my parents taught me was the value of family. I have huge shoes to fill but I hope that Jason and I can impart those same values to Davis. This weekend was a great start--we made wonderful family memories!
